Taking care of ourselves doesn't have to be relegated to spa days and vacations. Although those things are nice, they are not necessary for a rested, balanced life. Prioritizing our needs doesn't make us selfish...it makes us equal to the other commitments we've chosen to put higher than ourselves.
Self care means exactly that...taking care of ourselves...in conjunction with (not in lieu of) the rest of our day-to-day responsibilities.

Most of us turn away from the parts of life that feel unsafe or uncomfortable. We've learned to avoid the uncertainty and withdraw ourselves or compartmentalize our pain or unease. When we choose to focus on our physical and emotional health, community, internal and external relationships, we are choosing to show up and take charge of our lives in ways we didn't realize was possible.

At Wellthiness Within, we believe abundant wellness or 'Wellthiness' is achieved from shifting our perceptions and perspectives about ourselves and our environment toward a more balanced and resilient approach to our life and circumstances.
When we focus on taking proper care of ourselves, we are better equipped to live a full life and serve beyond ourselves.
